In a difficult terrain because it is elongated and with a vacuum on the left side, we developed EHF. A monolithic building with a red partition, the result of the continuous exploration of the use of this material in our work, with which we decided to create a volume that extends along the land, conserving the vacuum to generate internal circulation between the departments.
The clear definition of structural axes gave us the possibility of creating “C” elements that articulate and define interior spaces. Outside, the hollows in the façade create a rhythm that stands out from the surrounding traditional housing and makes each apartment unique despite being structured according to a scheme. The resulting voids end up being an appropriation of the exterior, which also allow homes to ventilate and illuminate naturally.
Rather than generating a building, EHF seeks to generate an urban experience that makes visible the different ways of living, as a scenographic space that allows us to house the multiplicity of scenes from the daily lives of its different inhabitants.
